Here at Dr Nyhuis’ office, we will be following the recommendations of the NJ Department of Health and the American Dental Association and our OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED and only seeing our patients of record with dental emergencies if needed (we are not taking new patients at this time). To help reduce any potential exposure to the virus by patients and staff:
- We will be asking all patients to use hand sanitizer upon arrival to our office, and prior to using any e pens to fill out documents on iPad or e signature pad.
- We will ask patients to inform us if they have a fever (101 or greater) in last 24 hours, cough or difficulty breathing, or have traveled outside the US with active COVID-19 or contact with a patient with active disease.
- We ask that you please limit social distance while here and that includes NO HANDSHAKING.
If you are experiencing a dental emergency and are a patient of record, please call 908-850-7474 as we will screen patients for treatment..
All Non emergency callers: please leave a BRIEF message on our answering machine. We have many patients that will need to reshedule their dental appointments from the last few days and future days . We are asking that you all please have patience with us.
Be safe and we will call or text all our patients that need reschedulig as soon as we know how long these precautions are needed. Any updates will be shared with you ASAP via phone and/or text and this website. Thank you

We are handicap accessible just use the ramp on the side of our building for access by wheelchair or walker.

Our office is open Monday through Friday, with hours that can accommodate most any schedule. We know that your time is important, and we work to ensure that your visit happens as professionally and quickly as possible. Please come to your appointment a few minutes early if need to discuss an insurance change or other issue that needs our attention (i.e. new medication or medical issue).

Insurance and Billing
At this time, we participate in Delta Dental Premier and Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NJ Traditional only. Daniel A. Nyhuis, DMD does not participate in Health Management Organizations; however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. We accept checks, cash or credit cards on day of service. We also offer flexible payment plans thru CareCredit. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist. Call them ahead of time to see if you can see an "out of network" dentist and what that means for you the owner of the insurance policy financially.
You can pay for your office visits and any treatments by cash, check, credit or debit card at the time of treatment. We also process most major dental insurances on your behalf.
